Katsumi Kato

Katsumi Kato has extensive experience in Retail, Sales & Marketing and Mergers and Acquisitions across the sports, outdoor, apparel, and lifestyle industries.

He joined Bain in 2023 after having worked at ASICS Co., Ltd. for 38 years.

Katsumi held a number of roles whilst working at ASICS CO., LTD  including Director, Managing Executive Officer, General Manager of Global Marketing, Representative Director and President of ASICS Europe B.V. He was also the Representative Director and Chairman of HAGLÖFS AB, where he contributed to the globalization of the company's business.  

Katsumi graduated from College of Law and Politics of Rikkyo University. Current JTB Member of the Board, Mash Holdings Member of the Board, KEEN Inc (USA) Board Advisor.
