Steffen Zimmer

Steffen Zimmer is the practice vice president of our EMEA Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) practice.

A researcher of strategic and industrial trends, he consults with executives, innovators and investors across TMT. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and digital technologies, emphasizing their impact on business strategy, organizations and society.

He is an experienced speaker at global conferences, such as the Mobile World Congress, and has also worked with nonprofits, including the World Economic Forum and the BMW Foundation.

As our firm sets up the TMT practice for its next phase of growth, Steffen steers major initiatives in strategic planning, talent development, operating model and M&A.

A mathematician and computer scientist by education, Steffen was previously a fellow of the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing, a visiting scientist at Parallel Systems Technology and a member of the data warehouse engineering group at Deutsche Telekom.

He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and an M.S. from Paderborn University.

In his personal time, Steffen treks national parks around the world and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
